Cummings has long been a proponent of designing and building environmentally friendly facilities and maintaining our role as a socially responsible construction contractor. Recognizing the benefits of sustainable buildings to end users and the community at large, Cummings has been proactive in the implementation of green practices into the construction process. As active members of the U.S. Green Building Council, at both the national and local chapters, we are at the forefront of the green building movement.

We built the first LEED Gold certified parking complex for the University of Florida and were the Construction Manager at Risk for Florida Atlantic University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science Building, which is one of the first LEED™ certified Platinum facilities in Florida.

From project leadership and executives, through pre-construction and our on-site staff, all of

our personnel have experience working on projects with sustainability goals and will assure that all possible green elements are incorporated into our construction practices.
