Project includes renovating the school's kitchen and adding a new 2-story Environmental Science Building. The 7,000 SF teaching kitchen includes state-of-the-art food service equipment with a wide range of electric/gas ranges, griddles/grills, ovens, broilers, kettles, fryers, laundry equipment, dishwashing equipment, and cooler & a walk-in freezer. New custom fabricated stainless steel tables, exhaust hoods, fire suppression devices, and equipment are used for food and vegetable preparations, baking and teacher demonstrations. The Kitchen is used to provide culinary arts training on all types of equipment that students may encounter in the industry. The new Environmental Science Building includes classrooms equipped with laboratory casework outfitted with gas/water fixtures, aquariums and master control area panels. Science labs geared towards environmental wetland studies together with material & chemical storage rooms also can be found within this new building. A stand-by emergency generator room was also installed.
