Pines Middle School

This project is a replacement school on the campus of an existing school.  The construction was performed in two phases.  The first phase was the construction of a new 221,400 SF building which incorporates two small existing buildings (from the original school) into the footprint of the new building. The construction was tilt-up construction with precast concrete joist and concrete slab roofs.  A portion of the building is designated as an Enhance Hurricane Protection Area (EHPA). The second phase of the project was for demolition of the existing school and then building new playfields, courts, and the parent drop off loop.
